Taste Chicago is a piece of Chicago in L.A. Although this place is a bit expensive, the food is unbelievably good! Owned by actor Joe Mantegna, Taste Chicago has the best italian beef I've ever tasted. The pizza is very good, too. I live a mile away and it takes everything in me not to eat there every week!
yum! The deep dish pizza is a little greasy for my taste but the stuffed jumbo shells are awesome! They are reasonably priced for the portion size. The downside is that the parking lot is very small and usually packed.
Good food, good service This place is good if you want to take things to go. Its a little too crammed for me inside. However the food was good & the service was pleasant.
Yummy Chicago The food is great. My only problem was the limited parking. Both the ribs and chicken are worth the trip. The service is friendly. This place is best enjoyed on a weekday around 2:30. Less lunch crowd.
If you are feeling homesick and need some place to remind you of Chi town, this place is it. I give it a thumbs up!!!
When visiting from Ohio last Saturday my son brought me to the Burbank location knowing I missed the Chicago Beef experience. I ordered two "wet" with sweet peppers on the sandwich and hot peppers on the side. They hit it out of the ball park! The service was great and tasted just like I remembered when I was back home, six months ago. Great Food, Great Service, and even a great price. It couldn't be better!!
Exactly as advertised; Chicago-like hot dogs and pizza and more, with Chicago-like service.
Not authentic Chicago deep dish pizza. Crust is to thick, not nearly enough cheese and toppings. Looks good in the box but falls short on the plate. As someone who relocated to SoCal after living in Chicago (go cubs!) for 12 years, I was disappointed.
Wrong Order Over And Over – The last 2 out of 3 to go orders (never have eaten at this place) were wrong and basically ruined my order both times. I traveled about 10 miles to get there and when I got back found out that, this time they didn't include the peppers on my Italian beef hot and wet order but did charge me the extra $1. I have no plans on giving them another chance as it is clear they just don't care about what they are doing.
