This place deserves 15 stars. Brilliant food. Friendly people. So much food on a plate. Had the Bistek Ranchero with corn tortillas. Definitely recommend. Will be back
No-frills joint with standard Mexican fare in large serving sizes. Today I got the jumbo burrito, mojado style (wet), no meat, no rice, no lettuce. It's stuffed with beans, grilled onions, grilled red and green bell peppers, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, and topped with enchilada sauce and yet more cheese. Muy delicioso. Solid bay area burrito spot, achiote chicken chips looked hella good.
From the street Zarape was bright and inviting. It was getting late but we were hungry so we stopped and I am glad we did. The food was great, we had the shrimp taco and the carnitas taco with a side of rice and beans. I was surprised at how flavorful the beans were. The food was fresh and hot and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was lively with people coming and going. We will definitely be back
