This has been one of my favorite places for awhile. The food is always good and the service is wonderful. However towards the end of the year when the menu changed all of my favorites vanished. I tried a couple new things and they were great but now having learned that the tuesday wine tastings are gone I'm afraid I won't be making the trip to saftey harbor near as often.

Hi Kayla. Our menu has definitely changed as we evolve from "Wine Bar & Bistro" to much more of a casual, fine dining restaurant. We stopped our weekly Tuesday Tastings now that we are concentrating on food first with excellent wine being paired with the menu items. We still offer flights of wine each and every day, giving you the chance to try 3 different wines.
Tremendous dining experience at Tapping the Vine. Our party of 10 was treated like royalty by the entire staff at the restaurant. The meal was exquisite from the appetizers and salad to the main course - Chef Alex you are an artist in the kitchen, your talents and love were boldly evident in every dish. Highly recommend this culinary journey to any couple, any business celebrating a special occasion!!

First, the food was amazing. I had the lobster tail with the cognac sauce and it was divine. As sides, I had the truffled mac & cheese couscous, and seasonal vegetable (seasoned tomatoes and onions). Everything was incredible. Then there's the wine. The sommelier spent a good 10-15 minutes with me trying to find the perfect wine for me and it was perfect. Definitely worth your time!
