Worst. appraiser. ever. Mis-characterized the property and hung up on me 3 times when I called to asked questions about the comps that he used. He is rude, incompetent, and does not understand current market conditions. For example, he gave me 25 cents per every $1 spent on renovation when current renovations value are dollar for dollar on the increase. He works for Solidifi so if your bank uses this appraisal management company, do yourself a favor and make sure you stay away from him.

Did an exterior only appraisal of my property while it was covered in 2' of snow. No regard for recent interior renovations. Went elsewhere for a refi, second appraisal was $39k higher.

Too bad there is not a negative 1 star rating. It was bad enough that we were on pins & needles waiting for this last piece of due diligence to take place. But Joseph Tapp & his son had the opportunity to set a new bar of comps for a custom built, 5 bedroom, 10 acre, immaculate home in Alexandria Township. Horrible all he did was talk about retirement and how you doesn't wanna work for banks anymore. His appraisal could not be further from the right value. I hired a separate company and had them do one as well. His sq ft from the town and what my deed says and what the new company says is off by almost 400 sq ft. Do yourself a favor do not use this company. More worried about retirement.

This man took my money and came to do an appraisal -9 days later he called me and said he was bowing out and was not doing the appraisal.Gave me no reason .I then said I wanted my money back and he said he would when he can -as of this writing 7 days later I have called him and his response was "i will get the money when I get it " So I know have to probably sue him in court -beware !!!!
