I would not recommend this doctor, especially for families seeking support for anxiety. During our appointment, she questioned my daughter’s anxiety and minimized the struggles we shared, saying that “a lot of people struggle with that” and implying it wasn’t significant. She was always very rude, and uncaring of what I had to say. I'm 17, and yet she forced me to have to talk about issues I would not want to talk about around family. She outright rejected feelings I had. Yes, when I told her I was feeling a certain way or struggling in certain fields, she didn't believe me. We had an incredibly disappointing experience at this office. After waiting two months for an appointment with the pediatric psychiatrist, we arrived on time, after an HOUR drive with 3 toddlers and a young kiddo, only to be delayed at check-in because the receptionist allowed another parent to take an excessive amount of time checking in their child while we stood in line patiently. Sent me home from the mental hospital cause she said I seemed fine after I told her I wasn’t fine. I almost died thanks to that negligence. 1 star is generous.
I believe that 1 star is too great for this supposed medical professional. We saw Dr. Theriault twice- but will never be seeing her again. From the beginning she was strangely detached, unsympathetic, and frankly quite cold. My advice to any parent who is looking to help their child - avoid this doctor at any cost.
