Such a gem incredibly fresh ad generous sushi portions and the pork donburi was flavorful and delicious The order was even packaged with such care and they tossed in a complimentary Ramune! This is why I support small business, it's a quality spot you have to try!
This is the second time I've gotten food from this place. I used to get a beef bento box from a different place called tampopo on Greenville but that place closed unfortunately for me they had the best bento box I have ever had. Is this the same place as tampopo that used to be on Greenville? Because I was so sad when it closed and had to order from here to check to see if it was the same place and I was so happy when the food was the same as delicious! I had the katsudon, sweet potato and shrimp tempura roll and everything was so delicious! I ordered for delivery and the food was still so hot it might as well have been straight out of the kitchen! So yeah I’ll order from here again the food was top quality and worth the price insanely good!!
Let me preface this by saying I have an inherent disdain for “ghost kitchens” or places that only operate on delivery. But I will not project that upon Tanpopo because they are incredible. This place is just so freaking good. They are fantastic every single time, it never fails. The bento might be appear to be slightly smaller than other restaurants at first glance, but they don’t put the salad inside the box where it gets all hot so it’s really a great portion and thoughtfully packaged. Sesame dressing is wonderful!
