I can't say enough good things about Tanoshii. The food is always incredible. The chefs are so thoughtful to put out food they know you'll enjoy. I've taken many sushi novices there because I know the chefs will ask the right questions to make my guests things they will LOVE... and they always do. Last night was no different We had a great time and were lucky enough to sit in Sushi Mike's section. He's the reason I go back again and again.
Otherwise know as Sushi Mikes, is an amazing restaurant. A group of eight of us enjoyed the tastes that favors bounced inside our palate. We enjoyed two rolls of the Spicy tuna, which was my favorite. I tried Eel, sea urchin, salmon, and Japanese fish. The restaurant is BYOB. I couldn't believe.that it was packed for a frigid cold Thursday in Chicago. The restaurant was very understanding of a food allergy that my husband had, and they accommodated us well. Parking is street side, and it is pay by the box. This is a must go!
Years, I have been visiting Mike for years. It is still by far the best of any city I have traveled to. Even rivaling those in Japan.
