Dr Tani was my eye doctor when I was a child in the 70's. He has an amazingly soothing presence about him, and such a calming voice. Add to that the flipping of the shutters of the scope through which he looks into your eyes, and the experience was almost memorizing. I visited his son Doug's office once since, and he inherited some of that. Only some. I need to see an eye doctor again today and am sad so see that he has retired.
