I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the music at Tango del Rey; it’s a beautiful venue and perfect for dancing. However, I was surprised that water was only available for purchase in bottled form. When people are dancing, moving, and sweating throughout the night, access to basic drinking water is really important for health and safety. I'm not from San Diego but my sister lives here and I occasionally will social dance while I'm down here and tonight was my second time ever dancing here and I had such a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and the leads actually go around and ask people to dance instead of waiting for the follows to ask them, even the advanced leads , which I was really surprised by because no one knew me and I'm from LA and almost none of the leads there ask and specially not the advanced ones unless they're your friend.
