Worth writing a review! – We had a reservation not knowing if we would need one, there were five of us. We were pleasantly pleased with the knowledge and patients of or waitress with explaining in detail many of the items on the menu. We started off with a bottle of wine and a salad which were excellent! We each ordered something different and we all had the same conclusion, we would be back SOON! It was a quaint atmosphere with a modern flair. We had a great experience all around!

Our favorite place! – Chef Ross is a master with taste, texture, creativity and presentation. What else do i need to say? We have never had a less than 4 star meal here. We brought our family members here and they now regularly drive from the far southwest Mpls. suburbs for the experience; it is THAT good!

Third Times A Charm? I've had a great meal here and a not so great one. The first time the food was terrific and the atmosphere relaxed. We ate an early dinner full of flavor and perfectly complimented by a glass of wine the waiter recommended. We loved it so much we vowed to return. The second time the food was undercooked, the atmosphere empty and the service lacking. We left vowing never to return. Since then i've continued to hear mixed reviews. Maybe the third times is a charm?

Exceptionally good tasting food, service you'd expect in the finest restaurants! – Our food took a bit to get to the table but was worth the wait- we ordered the chicken marsala and it was awesome. Our waitress was very helpful when we were making our selections - she knew the menu and the preparation methods. We never felt rushed - it was a nice quiet atmosphere. Located in Taylors Falls which is a very quaint town just north of the cities. I will definately go back and bring a few more friends.

Fabulous Food with Amazing Ambience – My husband and I ate at this restaurant on Saturday night. We came in with no reservation thinking no problem. When we walked in they were so busy. Somebody greeted us promptly and let us know that they were all booked up for the night but she would see what she could do to get us in. She left for a few minutes and came back and told us she had found us a table. We had the best experience here. Everyone was charming and so helpful. The food was unbelievable. Even on such a busy night the... read more

A perfect romantic, fun and great tasting place – I would agree with the last review written 12/2006. My wife and I just dined there this last Friday. (2/2/2007) I don't think you can compare this restaurant to any other in the area. The food at Blue was excellent and creative. The staff was very helpful and fun. The environment was also creative and enjoyable. We had the Walleye cakes and the rigatoni, both were perfect. The sauces were a compliment to the meal and did not overtake them. The wine selections were excellent, ... read more

izabella_leah must work for the Dam Bistro – I just recently saw izabella_leah's review for this place and I cannot believe that anyone would say that about this amazing restaurant other than someone who works for the Dam Bistro. I live in the area and have visited both restaurants many times, Tangled up in Blue much more than the Dam Bistro, only because the Dam Bistro was closed for a year because they could not make it work. Yes the prices are high at Tangled up in Blue but you get what you pay for when it comes to this r... read more

over priced and not worth the time and effort – When this resturant opened we loved it but in the last 4 months or so it's gone downhill. The pricess remained high and the food has gotten worse. The staff is rude and I could over hear them arguing in the kitchen on my last visit. Not worth it, instead head across the river and go to the Dam Bistro, it's only 3 minutes away the food is better the pricess lower and it's open at more logical times. Don't waste your money on this place!

Fabulous! – My husband and I have been here twice and absolutly love it! The decor is very cool and yes, blue! It's a very small place and they don't take reservations so expect a bit of a wait. The service is excellent and personable (the owner cooks and his wife hosts). The wine was great and the food was even better. The first time we went we split a pesto pasta dish and a spicier mexican pasta dish. Both were amazingly good. The bread that they bring you with vinegar and oil was also good. The dessert was my favorite tho... read more
