In a word NASTY! We found hair in the salad, dirty dish, food was cold, had to wait for the buffet to be set up after the restaurant opened, only some food items were labeled, and they refused to honor their coupon for a variety of reasons, none of which made any sense. Our worst experience in Sarasota.
Best Indian food I have eaten in Fla. Had to drive 60 miles to do so, but it was worth it!! I asked for a lamb Vindaloo, and got one, which is remarkable in itself for this State! (hot n spicy) The service was outstanding, clean and we will def be back. 1984 was my first Curry, and since living in America have only found good ones up in the North. this restaurant is only ok. food is 3 out of 5. But the main problem is service its horrible, get ready to wait for 45 minutes to get your food on table also 15 min for just to get water. They ignored some people as customer- dont know why? i wouldnt go any more. But i tried at gateway of india during the same week on friday ( typically busy day) and it was wonderful service, food and price too. you wont go wrong.

I ordered a take out from here last night. While it is a little pricey, the end result is I dont care. The food was the best I have had since being in Londons West End and although I placed my order at 9:30 at night and didnt get there until after 10:15 (they close at 10:00) they waited for me and were very happy to see me and polite about it. The Meat Samosa was crisp and hot even when I got them home 20 minutes after picking them up, and the meat was exploding out of them. The Lamb Korma was enough to feed Two very hungry ... read more

Just awful. The worse restuarant that I found in Florida. The place was empty, I can see why.
I usually have a Tandooor "fix" about twice a month, primarily at the lunch buffet. The cost for the lunch buffet at this time is in the \$6- range, and includes vegetarian and non-veg (chicken) entrees, along with rice, flatbread, salad, and dessert (usually rice pudding with saffron). Food is authentic as chefs are from northern India. Dinner \$\$ higher but much bigger selection.
