Dan is one of the nicest, passionate, knowledgeable people I’ve ever met in a camera store. I’ve never enjoyed myself so much and learned so much as with my hour or so with Dan in his store. Customer service at its best. Period.
Great cameras (including antiques: https://www.tamarkinauctions.com), service and classes. Pretty much everything one could possibly want in a camera store. Dan Tamarkin, the eponymous owner, is very personable, and a good, patient teacher.

Dan is second to none when it comes to his knowledge base and expertise concerning Leica cameras. I have only had pleasurable experiences in my dealings with him. Dan's willing to help each customer, based on their individual needs is spectacular. You will not find friendlier and helpful customer service anywhere. I would recommend his establishment six days a week and twice on Sunday.
Regardless of if you are buying your first Leica or adding to your collection...Tamarkin Camera is the place to go. Dan and ALL his employees are on top of everything they need to know historically and with the newest releases. Come in and have a stress free buying experience. But it doesn't stop there.
