My husband and I attended the open house on 10/2/16. We enjoyed seeing the magnificent birds, seeing two releases and reading about their stories and outcomes. Tamarack Wildlife Rehabilitation Center doctors, caretakers & volunteers keep doing what you all do ❤ The open house was very nice
It was a great experience to see who they are and what they do and to meet their ambassador birds. I loved reading their stories about the birds and animals they have helped.
This morning a young screech owl was perched upon our baker's rack on our wood deck. A huge storm blew through during the night and apparently he/she owl got caught up in it. The little creature was wet, confused and extremely stressed. I called TWRC and they immediately instructed me as to what I should do. I gently scooped up the owl with a pillow case and placed him in an box properly ventilated. Once I arrived with OLIVE the staff immediately took over.
