Great Little Place. This place is so awesome. When you first see it i'll admit it's a bit much lol. The design is pretty strange. But on the inside is so many interesting things. The food and Things are great. We love getting the ice cream. While the crafts and things are very nice and artsy The prices are way over what i can afford but i do love to go and browse.
Must Stop!!! Tamarack is awesome! It is a circular shaped building which has incredible West Virginia made products. There are products to fit any budget. Some things are quite pricey, but they are also very high quality. There are sometimes workers making various crafts which are fascinating to watch. They offer tourist information for all of WV. There is a cafeteria which is run by the Greenbrier- great food at very reasonable prices. I have never been to their theater. This places shows off all of the great stuff in West ... read more
Great food, not so great on the wallet. I love going there just for the entertainment and to look around. Definitely a tourist attraction as well as a local hub for the more artsy individuals. My only issue are the prices. While some merchandise is MORE than worth it, there are other things that could use a decrease. PROS beautiful and great food and entertainment CONS the price tag.
Tamarack - A Must See & Must Do!! Tamarack was one of the first places I visited when I moved to the Beckley area from Charlotte, NC. When you walk in, you're overtaken by the aromatic smells of homemade candles and potpourri. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the home town pottery, quilts, rugs and paintings. They also have all sorts of figurines representing the great State of WV's coal miners!
