Dr. Scerpella operated on my knee five years ago and I want to express how grateful I am for her expertise, attention to detail, and desire to help. My specific knee issues were captured on an MRI but were overlooked by a UW sports med provider. I then spent 6+ months at UW's PT and not getting better. After changing PT providers (shout out to Pro PT in Middleton), I was encouraged to make an appt with Dr. Scerpella. I had x-rays and a steroid shot put in my knee today. They listened to me when I told them I wanted to be able to build the muscle around my torn meniscus. The steroid shot will help me to achieve this and hopefully not have surgery. I have never waited more than five minutes every time I have come to this hospital to see a doctor or specialist. I also really appreciate how clean this hospital is and everyone I talk to is always helpful.
Dr Scerpella took time, listened, was very personably and explained the surgery well. I felt heard and comfortable to head into surgery under her care.
Dr. Scerpella was very clear and thorough, explaining my situation in readily understandable terms. She put me at ease and I am looking forward a treatment plan that can return function to an acceptable level. I highly recommend her. UPDATE: Just had my final check-in following surgery 6 months ago. Recovery has gone better than most. Recovery is a miserable experience, but it could not have gone better (except maybe if I had not screwed up here and there).
Dr. Scerpella is amazing! She addresses any concerns and helps with long term goals. I feel very pleased to have her on my health care team.
