Tamalpais floors has many years of experience laying specialty hardwood floors. I was looking for European Oak with a very natural finish. Dermot and David had a lot of patience explaining all the options so I could visualize what the end result could look like. The staircase was our biggest challenge. Nothing is square and we had to cover parts of the wall before a glass railing could be put up. They send us their best carpenters to do the job and I am super happy with the end result. Super helpful and professional organization. They were great in helping me fine tune the decisions on the final product, and the two men who installed the flooring (which had --I suspect most homes have--some squirelly floor details) did a fantastic job! Everyone who comes to visit will now go shoeless or wear shoe protection booties! Definitely worth the money.
