A must visit for any trip to Buffalo. Both locations are �, but the Main St location will always have my heart bc of the used book section!
THIS is what we talk about when we talk about bookstores. Talking Leaves is idiosyncratic, inclusive, inviting, and independent. Each of the two stores has a unique character, and both are of a piece with their urban neighborhoods. Wonderful, knowledgeable staff, eclectic selection: the store treasures the written word and curates their selection; books are not mere commodities valued only by sales.
We are so grateful to have a local independent bookstore here in Buffalo! Yes, there are a few others, but Talking Leaves is a flagship that contributes to the community of Buffalo and offers an alternative to other chain box-bookstores. Needless to say, the staff is friendly and very helpful when you have a question.
By far, the largest and most diverse selection of all genres of books [especially poetry] in all of Western New York.
Talking Leaves is a great place to go and pick up a new read or listen to great poetry! The location near UB South especially is very spacious and nice.
