I went for an author talk and book signing. This store is a treasure for Buffalo.
Great selection, with an emphasis on the creative and the thought-provoking. Welcoming atmosphere, wonderful vibes. The very model of a good independent bookstore.
A must visit for any trip to Buffalo. Both locations are �, but the Main St location will always have my heart bc of the used book section!

Each of the two stores has a unique character, and both are of a piece with their urban neighborhoods. Wonderful, knowledgeable staff, eclectic selection: the store treasures the written word and curates their selection; books are not mere commodities valued only by sales.
We are so grateful to have a local independent bookstore here in Buffalo! Yes, there are a few others, but Talking Leaves is a flagship that contributes to the community of Buffalo and offers an alternative to other chain box-bookstores. Needless to say, the staff is friendly and very helpful when you have a question.
