We went there as part of a post cruise tour. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with a cabin feel. It was a surprise to meet Alex, the Manager, who is from our hometown and he was very helpful. The views to Denali from the hotel's terrace were outstanding. We were very lucky that the sky was clear and we were able to see and enjoy the mountains. We had dinner at the Base Camp, which food was delicious and large portions. Great Spring break getaway for locals. Wonderful rooms with large mountainview and Northern Lights windows. Fun activities available, during spring break, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, prime time to schedule a courtsey wake up call to view the active Northern lights. During this week the Lodge is open for residents reservations, the lodge had live music, restaurant open for dinner only, a breakfast snack bar open, For lunch , I had to go into town of Talkeetna to eat, was a great variety of eateries and shops.
