I hope this review is helpful to someone considering donation. I also went to the other place and let me say I was treated very poorly. They came across as professional, but were very inconsistent in explanations, rules, and regulations. Talecris was very matter of fact, but I would hope for that from a business that is working with bodily fluids. I do not recamend nobody to go here you may catch desieses and they are not careful on what they do. When you first go in you sit there doing there stuff for two hours for your first visit and you still donate plasma and the blood goes back into you. its perty stupid to me and it messes up you blood serculations. First off, I would just like to say that the below people have absolutely no idea on how the process works. You will not get HIV or any other disease from donating plasma. The machines do not ever come in contact with blood, there are sterile supplies used for each person and all the blood is contained in them, and it is impossible for it to become contaminated. I beleave that baby has a point in this if this had happen to her then maybe this ibr plasma center needs some checking with the health professionals.
i love his place they are so nice and gental. my mmom had a seizor there and they knew just what to do.
I would like to comment on the staff. They are very friendly and very helpful. I went to the other plasma donation center and they were SO rude and tried to blackmail me saying that if I didnt donate with them that I would be permanetely deferred. Not a place I wanted to donate to, it is supposed to be a positive experience, so I went to IBR and they were very friendly.
