Talcott Transmissions is one of the few repair shops I trust. I have had transmissions rebuilt there for 15 years and just recently, had my dad's Taurus repaired. The repair went flawlessly and, as usual, Ken was very patient and attentive. That means a lot to me, because my father is elderly and I need to trust the guys who work on his car. I could not possibly say enough good things about Talcott Transmissions! The manager Ken and his staff have helped me numerous times with my Jeep. They are always fast, honest, affordable and they can fix anything! This place is great and I will continue to recommend them to anyone that needs any sort of auto repair. I stopped by due to the fact that my care was not shifting and needed help so that I could get back home which is 80 miles away. Ken was great. He diagnosed the problem, provided a temporary solution and enabled me to drive the car home. If I ever move back to the area, I'll be sure to use Talcott Transmissions if I have a problem.

On July 16, 2008, traveling off the highway to New Britain Ave. W. Hartford, I felt the transmission on my \"98 Ford Contour slipping and experienced a major leak. A friend recommended I go directly to Talcott Transmissions, in business since 1963 in W. Hartford. I was 180 miles from home. The guys at Talcott Transmissions immediately helped me out.
