Stay at any other union square hotel. Stayed here on Sunday for my birthday because after a horrible year all I wanted was to relax and I read that the Taj prides itself most on hospitality. Instead my birthday was ruined by the complete lack of service. I am disabled and I use a cane so my mom had to carry all five bags. No one offered to help with the bags. We came back down when we found out we were in some of the only rooms accessible only by a set of stairs. Why did they not mention this when seeing my disability? Still... read more

Hands-down the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant or hotel. I never thought I’d have to write a review like this. At this “5-star” hotel’s restaurant, I ordered a veggie burger. After biting into it, I realized the patty was scorching hot — hot enough to immediately burn the roof of my mouth, gums, and inner cheek in a way I’ve never experienced before. The service in this hotel is just as poor as it can be! I was very disappointed. I didn’t get the upgrade I usually get with my card, the 1st ever that happens to me. The breakfast service is a disaster.
