RecommendedThis takeout is my absolute favourite! The Veggie Biryani is phenomenal - I even pick that over yummy, saucy curries (which I would not do at most Indian restaurants!). The Samosas are perfect every time and the prices are fair. They are a takeout only restaurant, so they know exactly how to package their to-go deliciousness for an enjoyable meal at home. Or, bring your picnic ware and visit a nearby park for a great romantic lunch or dinner!

The best take out in Vermont
This was our first time ordering and loved everything we tried! Everything was very flavorful and tasted fresh.
Taj-E-India is by far my favorite take out place in the Upper Valley. The service is prompt and friendly and the food is always fresh and delicious. Veggie biryani is my go to order and the naan is always magically still piping hot when I get home (and I live a good 35-40 minutes away). I heartily recommend Taj-E-India.
Richly spiced, flavorful food in generous portions. Enough for several meals. Highly recommend if you are looking for vegetarian/vegan take out options. Vegetable Pakora, Vegetable samosas and Eggplant Bharta are all excellent options. They will even adjust the spice according to your preference. Excellent.
