Do you like shabby, thrown-together food? Do you like undercooked noodles? And food that the "chef" couldn't even bother to heat? Then this place is for you. Just move no to another of the dozen great places in this neighborhood at this price point.
The fried Hainanese chicken rice is really good. There're chunks of cooked ginger in the rice, the chicken is crispy outside and juicy inside. The sauces are not as good as before, the red sauce is rather sweet and not garlicky enough, the white sauce tastes like aioli but not lemony enough. The 9 tea is not good, the boba pearls are soggy. It's so hard to find parking along a busy street.
I used love this place. But evidently, they don't love me. I regularly order from here. They forgot my sauce on the classic Hainanese chicken. If you've ever had it, you know this dish is nothing without the dipping sauce. THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT. Otherwise, you're eating plain rice and steamed chicken. Anyone can make that. Well, they refused to fix the problem even after I spent a lot of money with them and tipped well. I'll be taking my business elsewhere now.
