April 2025 first at The Tailwater Lodge In Altmar NY Purpose, fish the Salmon River for SteelHead Trout. An experience of a lifetime. Accommodations were 5*+++, Manager Kala Scilia is just unbelievable, a top top shelf hotelier. On site fishing guide Jerry Sullivan knows the Salmon River better than many of the professional guides and welcomed me as if I was a dear friend. Perfection from the staff, to the rooms, to the food. My husband & I stayed two nights. You can tell everyone works together to make your stay enjoyable. Our evening server, Kara, was exceptional. She was attentive, listened to our requests, and delivered impeccable service. Our server for breakfast was also a delight. While we stayed there to see Bolt Castle, we will go back just to enjoy their hospitality. Other Hilton Hotels could learn from the staff at this lodge.
