My wife and I used to go to tailgators weekly. However over the past year the food and especially the service has severely declined. It has gotten to the point where we literally walked out due to the lack of service. It's a shame considering this is the only place to watch a game and grab a beer in the western part of the county. We will now be making the 20 minute trip to albemarle.
We have eaten at Tailgaters every week since they have opened; but last night at about 8:30pm 3 of us came in, had to wait for 2 other people to be seated that had been waiting for 15 minutes; and there were at least 7 empty tables. Then 2 other people cam in and they were seated as soon as they came in. I ask a waitress to see the manager and told her what had happened. Food is typical bar food and a bit more costly than comparable venues. The service exceptional.
The service is terrible. You come in and they tell you to wait 15 minutes for a table, and the 15 minutes turns into 45 minutes to 1 hour. This place was good at one time and the food was good, but it sure has went down hill fast.
The service at this place sucks. We walk up with a party of 3 and ask if we can sit on the patio which is virtually empty and she tells us that it will be 15 to 20 minutes. (Puzzled) We finally got sat down after 45 minutes. Several other people who came after us were seated before us. There were plenty of seats for us to sit down and we still didn't get seated on the patio. God I wish Locust would get a decent Restaurant and shut this place down. I guess this is what I get for giving this place another chance.
Came in today with my fiancé for lunch! And had the best steak that I've had in awhile! Kudos to the cooks and the waitstaff was perfect! We never had an empty glass of tea! And we are leaving stuff and very happy!! Thank y'all!
