DO NOT GO TO TAHOE FOREST HOSPITAL This hospital is clearly driven by money, not patient care. The system is built around maximizing billing, not serving patients. Unnecessary appointments, poor communication, and inflated pricing seem to be the norm. I was quoted $20,000 for a colonoscopy with my out-of-pocket cost being $3,000 with good insurance (Anthem Gold Plan). I would avoid at all costs, this health system has really gone down hill - completely money driven - tried going for my annual physical exam and because I spoke about certain topics - one being an explanation on a previous doctor visit and second being a condition I have - all prompted by the doctor - I was billed for an office visit (not covered by insurance) instead of what I called to book - annual exam (covered by insurance).
