This place's prices are outrageous. The ER doctor charged me $4,300 for 20 minutes of his time, after the hospital had already charged me $5,000. And then the greedy ER doctor sent it to collections after like 30 days of non payment. Getting less than one hour of ER health care here almost costed as much as my surgery I had at Roc, and almost bankrupted me. Go into Reno for healthcare if you need it, DO NOT give this place a dime.
Dr. James Schlund is an absolutely brilliant M.D., Tahoe Forest Healthcare System is lucky to have him. I am so grateful that he was on staff the day of my visit and was able to get me the help I had so desperately needed for well over a year. When other physicians didn’t care, Dr. Schlund did. His expertise, empathy, and very caring bedside manner are difficult to find in the medical field these days. I feel like I can breathe again and my hope has been restored, all thanks to Dr. Schlund! Editing my review cause today the nurses and doctor Lane were so much better, there was a strung up female nurse at the start but litterally just stressed out from her lack of confidence perhaps and being busy, Dr. Lane seemed calm. A big step forward since Sept. 8th when I did not appreciate the uncompassionate attitude of 2, generally speaking in the event of a life or death situation please fly me to a UC Davis/Sacramento/San Francisco/South Bay hospital, even Reno but I never went there yet, my insurance will pay for the... read more
