RecommendedSi and Nolan were very knowledgeable of Tahoe’s History and paddling. They made it an informative sunset tour, making us feel even more appreciative of the beauty of Lake Tahoe. Arrive 10 minutes early to sign in. Paddling instructions given prior to hiring the waters. My family loved this adventure, so much that they would love to come back again. Highly recommend this to everyone. $ 65 per person, but all worth the penny. 10-19-2020
Kayaking is fun with crysyal clear water and gorgeous scenery of North Lake Tahoe with helpful and knowledgeable staff. We’ll be back for sure
We had such a blast today with our instructor Si. It was our first time using paddle boards and with Si's careful instruction and help we were both able to stand up and paddle around. Si and Christy both helped us find the best location for us that was peaceful and quiet to try this sport for the first time. There was easy parking at this location, the water was perfect and Si is an excellent instructor. We go at least once a year to watch the full moon rise. Our guide, Si, was great. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made us all feel comfortable. Thank you for another wonderful experience on Lake Tahoe.
Our kayak tour was wonderful! Lovely lesson, interesting and informative, just the right amount of time on the lake and the best lunch I've had maybe ever at Jake's on the Lake! Try the Panko chicken sandwich on naan! Brad was an awesome tour guide. We definitely hope to return for another!
I try to visit Tahoe City Kayak every summer at least once. After my visit I wonder why I haven’t purchased a kayak yet. And then I remember that I do almost all hiking and skiing and could not justify the expense for only 2-3 uses a year. But kayaking on Tahoe is not to be missed and this is a great place to do it. When the lake is low you can rent from the store and go down to the dock. When the lake is higher you can pick up singles, tandems, or an SUP right from commons park in Tahoe City. Fantastic full moon paddle out of Commons Beach. Andy is an incredible guide - knowledgeable, fun and encouraging. If you have the opportunity to do a full moon paddle, take this trip. We have never seen the moon like we saw it that night. My teenage daughter and her friend loved it too. Just be sure to pack a change of clothes because you will get a bit wet. Definitely 5 Stars!
