Tahlequah has an interesting origin. Once 3 Cherokee elders had decided to meet to discuss a capital for their nation but when dusk fell and only 2 of them had arrived and kept waiting for the 3rd in vain, they decided that 'Two Was Enough' which in Cherokee is Taligwu (Tahlequah is a corruption of the original term). Pray over yourself if you go there. Lots of sketchy stuff goes on there. You can feel it
It was like the ghetto!! Could not lock the front door, window screens were off, carpet was dirty it smelled old and musty! if I didn't need a room so bad I wouldn't have stayed there! Me and my family didn't really feel that safe!!
For the price I paid I'm very disappointed in the room. My room was very very dirty. Ac vent dirty, outside of ac covered in dirt. Light fixtures covered in dirt with dead bugs all around. Definitely would of stayed somewhere else if any other option was available. Also. If you make a reservation, they wont hold it. Had five rooms reserved and they sold all but 1. Then claimed they couldn't speak English.
