Around 10 years ago I was hospitalized and told I had developed type 1 diabetes at 53 years old. Since then, I have been injecting insulin five times a day just trying to control my diabetes. Being retired I recently moved from Tennessee to Florida and started looking for a new local doctor. During my initial visit, Dr. Salmani ordered a series of blood tests and determined that I might not be type 1 diabetic after all.
