ABOUT OUR MORTUARY Tacoma Mausoleum & Mortuary is a locally owned and operated full service funeral home specializing in offering families the greatest value for their dollars. Tacoma Mausoleum & Mortuary was incorporated in 1909 and our first wing was constructed in 1910. This year we are proud to be celebrating our 100th year of serving area families. We are proud of our success and we attribute this success to providing families the greatest peace-of-mind available anywhere, at a price they can afford.

Wish I could give negative stars! The place smelled like death, made me sick to my stomach. We were given a container of bleach wipes to briefly inhale to help with the smell. We were not told of a timeline to pick up our loved one's ashes, we cant plan her memorial. We've called and emailed but continue to receive no answer. Saving any amount of money by using their services is absolutely not worth it.
They seemed caring and handled my daughter's cremation relatively well, getting the death certificate on the other hand has been extremely difficult. Saying a week ago I would have it, only to be told another story this week. Communication is NOT their strong suit. They have more stories than DR Seuss!

If i could give this place zero stars I would. Used this place for a loved ones viewing and cremation. the 1st issue was the viewing they had him on a plywood board still on the body bag plastic, they said the clothes that we provided did not fit but we never received a call to provide new clothes, they put him in a mesh gown that was cut up both sides to put on. If they cut the gown why not cut the clothing to dress him?! Our family member was African American and they made his face dark black like the color not brown like ... read more
