Tacoma Iron works is a cut above other gate companies in the Tacoma area! I can say this because when you call them you get a friendly real person, their eye for details, their wiliness to help, their ability to estimate and fabricate truly custom designed gates, and they were always available to answer any questions I had.

I've read other reviews and it sounds like John and company are good at building fencing gates, posts and other small non-structural metal works. Unfortunately I hired John for a bigger project where constructing a structural Moment Frame was needed. John (Tacoma Iron Work owner) did not have the knowledge or experience for this type of project. We failed inspection, project delayed by two weeks, and I ultimately incurred about $8000 in extra engineering & inspection costs (which John would not reimburse). The positive... Ta... read more

We had them build us a custom gate over 12 years ago and it has been great. Since then we have had them do several projects for us and the price and service has always been great! The owner is involved with the operations and you can tell. I highly recommend them!
