I booked this appointment specifically because the salon advertises itself as a curly hair salon. Unfortunately, the service I received did not resemble a curly cut in any meaningful way. There was no dry cut, despite this being a foundational element of both the DevaCut and DevaCurl approach, where curls are cut individually, in their natural state, with attention to curl pattern, shrinkage, and variation. I had an appointment scheduled for 1.5 hours, but the service took about 2 hours, and I left with wet hair and very disappointing results. At the beginning, the stylist (the owner) started a dry haircut, which I had agreed to. However, she only worked on part of the right side of my head. When another client arrived, she stopped and sent me to wash my hair, even though the haircut was clearly incomplete.
