Excellent food – This place has a line that goes outside the door into the parking lot on the weekends regardless of the weather. The breakfast tacos are amazing. Everything is made fresh to order in front of your very eyes. Th staff is courteous and attentive. Recomend it to anyone and everyone!
Three thumbs up! – (*In that movie-guy voice*) In a town w/a taco joint on every corner mediocrity becomes acceptable. This place, with something as simple as a bean and cheese taco, reminds us....you don't have to eat garbage. There is hope. There is sanctuary. There is "Taco-Taco Cafe!"
Used to be the best – Please take note of the dates of the other reviews! A couple of years ago the owner of Taco Taco Cafe took over the management too. Since then, the food has been inconsistent and the service has been horrible. All of this is most likely due to the large amount of turnover. I was a regular but finally couldn't take it any more.
There's nothing better than a good breakfast taco on a Sunday morning ... unless it's a good breakfast taco on a Sunday afternoon. – The Scene Housed innocuously on the corner of Hildebrand and McCullough, this little taco factory cranks out breakfast later than anywhere else and the catch is, it's good. Dripping with groggy students and families, Taco Taco keeps dishing up the papas until 2pm, a virtual anomaly in taco time. But don't wait until the last minute. Consistent Excellence – I live nearby and drop in for breakfast often--to echo what's noted elsewhere here, the food is always top-notch and CHEAP and the people friendly. Say hi to owner Maria at the register.
Tortillas from Heaven – The Northside really does have everything! I have eaten tacos in every part of town and Taco Taco can not be beat. They are good, friendly, and consistent. The flour tortillas are out of this world! What else can you ask for? I don't know Maria personally, but I sure do admire her. She has done an outstanding job and I look forward to eating there for many years to come.
All Worth It! – Everything about this little place is great! The food is fabulous, the people are nice, and the price is right. Everyone i introduce to this "Mexican Food Haven" has also become addicted. Although all is good, here are some of my favorites: Caldo, Huevos Rancheros, Soft Taco Plate, Carne Guisada, and Crispy Tacos.....and don't forget the ranchero sauce ( I put in on everything!)
