In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we've stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. We do things the Bueno way, and you're sure to taste the difference.

I went to taco bueno for the first time today. I was looking for low carb options and was excited to see they had some on the menu. I ordered a steak salad and unsweet tea. I pulled up to pay and the attendant was busy taking another order so I handed him a 5 and my credit card. I assumed he would know to put 5 towards my bill and the rest on the card. I get my food and drive away and see my receipt says I paid 10.42 on my credit card and 5 cents in cash. I guess could have been a mistake but I feel disappointed and cheated.... read more
I hope they enjoyed the $10 they got from me today because that is the last time I will ever eat at a Taco Bueno. This is the first time I've tried their food and it will be the last. I ordered my food with a minor change, no sour cream. My child's taco was supposed to be meat and cheese only. They read the order back to me correctly, even my receipt says it correctly. Food is ok, but the floor was kind of dirty the time I went in there.
