We had a party of 10 on Sept. 15, 2016. The service was wonderful and the food was fabulous. According to my six year old grandson, Tacky Jack's has the best food in Alabama.
Tacky Jacks is a really fun, colorful atmosphere! We wanted to try it out for dinner, but instead we headed there for breakfast. The omelette was huge! The prices were good for breakfast, and the server was great and very attentive. We were a little confused when pulling in the parking lot, but only because it was breakfast so there wasn't a whole lot of people there. I wish our trip was longer so we could go for dinner! Definitely seems like a fun hangout at night.
Our family of 10 adults ate here Monday evening, service was ok, had to flag a waitress down to get more tea / water. I found out what NOT to order next time if I go back. I ordered the fried oysters and was really let down when they arrived. Thinking being on the Gulf the oysters would be fresh fried! These were tiny frozen oysters just like I buy from Sysco food supply for my restaurant at home. They are ok but I wasn't expecting tiny frozen fried oysters. I'll ask next time I order. We enjoyed our experience at Tacky Jack's. The service was great. If we are in the area again will definitely be back.
