LOVE IT ! – I am so happy I found this little gem right in Clinton(Hell's Kitchen). This block was so in need of an amazing restaurant and it has found it in Taboon. The white tables and walls give it a cool,relaxed,Mediterranean feel to it. Great place to eat and have a good time! – We've been here many times but haven't reviewed for a while as we've gotten lazy! We went to Taboon for an early dinner (7:00 PM) on a Tuesday night with friends from Israel. The place was very busy for a Tuesday night. An inventive, upscale mishmash of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine in Hell's Kitchen. – The Scene The smell of delicious flatbreads from the eponymous brick taboon oven adds a homey warmth to this neighborhood oasis. Absolutely Delish – Had dinner with 2 friends last week and everything we had was delicious. The mezes and bread were amazing. My friends enjoyed fish and I had the best osso bucco...everything was cooked perfectly. I have been to Taboon before and the service has improved greatly. The atmosphere is hard to explain...it is somewhat noisy -- yet electric. Everybody seems to be having a really good time.
Ms. Sisley – Great Bread! Unique flavors. A real dining treat. Interesting, tasty Middle Eastern food. I would highly recommend this restaurant to a friend.
Hella good in Hell's Kitchen – Taboon has rapidly become one of my favorite restaurants in Hell's Kitchen. The bread is to die for, as are the wide array of meze (tapas-like appetizers). Both brunch and dinner entrees are well-prepared and delicious, and dessert (if you have room) is scrumptious. Definitely a boon to the neighborhood.
A Birthday treat! – A friend took me to Taboon for my birthday and it was fabulous. I had more than my fair share of what I now know is their infamous flatbread, because it was so incredibly delicious -- carbs be damned! I loved the zuccini cakes but best of all was the hanger steak special, accompanied by chick pea spaetzle. A truly unique menu and experience. I'll definitely be going back.
