Toya and Joesph’s are amazing people love the vegan steak lobster and Seabass were phenomenal. The chef there knows exactly what he’s doing with the vegan food.
The food was cold and salty. I had chicken with broasted potatoes with a salad. The chicken was cold and tough. My wife had the salmon with broasted potatoes. The salmon wasn't to bad but get cold because they brought her potatoes out 25 minutes later and burned and rice was uncooked The service was not the best. It was only 9 of us in the restaurant in total and one of our guests ask to speak with a manager and never came. The server keep taking our plates and we weren't done.
I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but our entire party of 14 was not happy at all, everyone had an issue with their order and for the prices the portions are not great, I paid $170 for a bone in tomahawk steak that was overcooked and under seasoned and when I asked for steak sauce I was informed that they don't have offer any, it's unfortunate for this establishment because they have a great atmosphere and location, but I don't think I'll ever go back!!!
This is a locally owned restaurant by chef Omar who grew up in Detroit. They source their food through local channels such as Eastern market and such. They also do table side cooking which is wonderful. Located near greektown in the heart of Detroit, this food is worth the price.
Very disappointed with the food and service. By the time we were done, there were 4 different waitresses that came to our table. They did not have a kids menu and charged $25 for frozen chicken tenders. The macaroni and cheese was underwhelming and was covered in store bought shredded cheddar. We decided to not complain because we wanted to have a good night but the waitress asked if we wanted to take the macaroni and cheese that we barely ate and we said no. She didn’t ask why.
