You can come here with a group or individually. They have individual dhabi stations as well. The meat is good quality and they have different flavor broth. Check in with four square and get a free drink. Try their fried chicken wing appetizer also.

Best Shabu Shabu in Monterey Park – This place just re-opened on the May 5th under new management and the customer service has improved SO MUCH. Before, it was slow and it would take a while to even get something simple like a refill on a glass of water or your check. The new people have taken care of this problem though and the food is still great as usual and you can count on getting an affordable and tasty shabu meal for around under 15 bucks. The place is casual and relaxed, I can't see any downsides as of now but if I h... read more

Slow service – The few times that I've been here, I've noticed how slow the service can be. The staff can often forget about your requests...even when it comes to getting your check! The food isn't remarkable as it is just a bowl of boiling water where you dump the food in to cook. The prices are a little high for what you get. Not a bad place however, to just kick back in after work with some friends and have a beer with your dinner. Actually, make that 2 or 3 beers as you'll be waiting a while before your check arrives.

Good food, decent portions, cust srv not too great – The food is good, the portions are reasonable. The sauces are great, not too dull in flavor. the service is not that great, they take a long time to bring you your drinks or appetizers. When the owner is there there seems to be a different attitude from the environment. usually very busy, so no prompt seating unless your going in the midafternoon. better food than a lot of other shabu shabu places in the l.a. area. i still go for the food, not the service, so you have to w... read more

Not great as before, Bad Service, Overpriced! – I noticed they might have changed ownership since I first visited years ago. Last time I went the place was empty in the late afternoon, yet the service was still poor, we finished our food then the appetizer arrives, I guess the waitress was too busy reading newspaper sitting next to us. Another time, we already finished our vegetable plate already and then come the drinks and meat plate, they also took away our condiments before we are done eating. That time wasn't even busy!... read more

New and Improved – I have been going to this restaurant for years, in the past one year their service was really bad, but the food was one of the best in LA area, lately I have noticed their serivce has improved 1000%, I guess they realized people have been complaining about the serivce, now the only complaint I have is, long wait in weekends.

Shambu Shambu – Basically for $15 + tax, you can get a plate of veggies and meat to cook yourself. I don't know why people are so hyped about the sacue, it's just sauce. Anyone who has been to shabu shabu knows that the service and waitresses are terrible. It's practically insulting. And the meat is getting thinner and thinner every time I go. I've been going for a while because there's no other local shabu shabu, but the meat is less than paper thin now. The last two times I went, the meat was impossibly thin -- it would fa... read more

Not Impressive... – Overall, I was extremely disappointed by this place. The meat had a bizarre texture, and the sauces were bland. Service was non-existent, and very abrupt. There are MUCH better places in Little Tokyo and/or the Sawtelle area over on the Westside.

The worst possible place to eat on earth – I went there a couple days ago and there was a sign for a lunch special. I came in with my friend to try it out... well nothing can hurt you when it's on lunch special WRONG! They don't have lunch special anymore, we were seated right away and before we could order anything, they already brought everything to our table. Well, I guessed, it wouldn't hurt to try. WRONG AGAIN! The sauce was too thick and tasteless, the sour soy was so sour. For the price that we paid for the food is no... read more
