My boyfriend and I were with US Cellular for a couple years and had nothing but troubles with our service, even in the middle of town it was always cutting out. I went in yesterday 9/9/25 to try and upgrade my phone. Got told you can only do Jump upgrades online. Left store and called a sister T-Mobile store, they said that’s not true and to come their store. I did, and they did my upgrade no issue. Not sure why I got two different things told to me. But I will drive 15 minutes to another store to never come here again. Every-time it’s an unpleasant experience.
No customers there when I walked in, 4 workers. One jumped up to ask how he could help. Was informative and not pushy. I asked what was available for seniors. He showed me current deals, but didn't seem to help the older client section. Knowledgeable salesman and gave me a coworkers card to help me if I return. Phones keep rising in price, but programs aren't any better. Still on fence as far as upgrading here or elsewhere.
Was a loyal customer for 2 years. I had no issues until this week. Service did not meet my expectations unfortunately. Long queue times and sudden loss of service for 3 days with no alternatives provided have made it difficult to regain their trust. I understand the need to maintain your towers but the company should have had a backup system or an emergency plan for this.
