Steve B My experience with Granite Mountain Vet Hospital and Dr. Szekely has been very good. I had to have my 12 yr old male chihuahua have 8 teeth pulled and of course was worried about him. He came through without a hitch and the office has been so responsible about his care and I couldn't be happier.
Recommended My wife and i have been bringing our two dogs to Granite Mountain Veterinary for about 1 1/2 years. We have had no issues with the services of Dr. Don or any of his staff. In fact our dogs actually enjoy going there. We've found Doctor Don and his staff informative and caring. We've also used the kennel services. Again no issues. Both the veterinary and kennel services are recommended by my wife and I.

Great place, great vet We have 5 cats and just moved to Prescott. He did their cat tune ups, followed up with a phone call the next day. One of our cats looked a little dehydrated so he just said watch her to she if she is drinking. Then he volunteered to make a house call to give her an IV on the week end if needed. Great place, great treatment, not expensive.
Simply the best We have a lot of good vets in town - but Don is the very best. You can go to any vet for shots or routine visits - but if you have an emergency or a very sick animal - Don is the man for you. He never gives up, has a great mind and skilled hands. Obviously I highly recommend Granite Mountain Vet - that is until it gets so busy that I can't get an appointment!! ;)
Mazy Mae thanks Dr. Szekely Dr. Szekely is great!! I thank him so much for healing my kitten after some trouble with spaying surgery. My kitten is so active and kept licking the surgery area, and Dr. would take her in time and time again, and "fix" the problem area, no charge!! He knew financial times are tough, ( like so many of us), but he helped her anyway. The front desk gals are busy, but kind and respectful. I'm glad that I took my Siamese kitten to Dr. Szekely to be spayed. Dr. is very personable and I can tell he lov... read more
Do not recommend One star because this animal hospital is so unprofessional especially the front desk staff. The front desk was the worst experience being in a animal hospital for me and I've been through several hospitals in the Prescott, Phoenix, and So Cal areas. Let me just point out that they asked me to pay up front when I called and were completely rude and dumb on the phone. Dr. Szekely is Fabulous!!!!!!!!! I have three pugs who are my everything (no, I don't have any children). I have been going to Dr. Szekely since 2006 and every time I have seen him, he and his staff have been absolutely wonderful. I can honestly say that I believe that he and his staff cares just as much about my puggers as I do. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone in the Prescott, Chino Valley, Prescott Valley area. Super Surgeon My initial visits to Granite Mtn. Veterinary Clinic involved having five kittens neutered/spayed. A wild kitty, not much more than a kitten herself, had kittens under our workshop and after regular talks with United Animal Friends of Prescott, I felt confident enough to rescue the babies at 4 weeks to prevent their mom from moving them or teaching them to be wild.
