Dr Tas billed me for an appointment which is normally covered under my WorkCover and Medicare arrangement. The fact that Dr Tas was following up on my discharge from hospital doesn't cover charging me for the whole appointment when the follow up took 5 minutes and the rest of the time was spent discussing WorkCover issues. I do not and have no issue with paying for a consultation to see a Dr. but when there is a legitimate means of billing and this was not used this is when I have a problem. After having a severe asthma attack in the practice on Tuesday and requiring the services of an ambulance to take me to hospital for admission. I needed to have a follow up appointment with the practice on discharge and as Dr Merhi does not work on Fridays I was able to see Dr Taz who was the other Dr who assisted Dr Merhi on Tuesday.
