I'm sad to be giving Syls a bad review since my husband and I really wanted to enjoy our night out. We visited syls yesterday (Saturday) evening. When we entered the building, there was no hostesses in sight so we stood around for a few moments. Then we spotted a group of family so we went to visit them at their tables. Haven't been here since I was little. We only had to wait like 20 minutes. Cheese curds were insane. Fish was phenomenal, omg I can't even talk about the hash browns with cheese and onions without drooling. Our server was super sweet and talkative. Can't wait til next Friday!!
Waited 50 minutes for 2 walleye dinners and a fish dinner. Fish was terrible and walleye had bones in it (2 different fillets)- seafood buffet is gross. Crusty old fish fillets and shrimp no bigger than a quarter. When the owner was notified about the poor service he said he'd check with the kitchen on why it took so long and said he'd offer help with our $115 bill. Never returned to the table and the waitress said he offered to give us a free dessert. Seriously never going back.
We just had Friday Fish, It was overdone and Salty. The steak fries were covered in salt. Salad bar wasnt included and was an extra 2.99. The cheese curd appetizer consisted of 8 curds and a small amount of ranch for 7.99! A dollar a curd! Over 80 dollars for 4 people! Crazy for a Wisconsin Fish Fry!
