I moved from Houston Texas and had to find a psychiatrist here in Illinois. My previous psychiatrist had me on medications that took in-depth years to get finally figured out and on many years. I was referred to him as a psychiatrist. Was rough at first with trying new meds. Ended up sticking with what I was already on the past five years. Glad he listened and worked with me.
I find him cool and not helpful.
Dr. Salik was referred to me as a psychiatrist. He met with me for only 5 minutes before changing my medication. At first, I was open to trying new meds, but soon questioned the constant changes. He ignored my concerns, suggesting I stop taking a medication that had worked for me for a year, and begin taking something else instead. When I asked how to wean off my meds, he said to just take a half dose for a few days. I am now in a miserable state of withdrawal and will NOT be returning to him.
