Absolutely beautiful park! Would come back in a heart beat, the views are breathtaking and the staff is wonderful!
If you’re like me and you live for scenic overlooks, waterfalls, and gorges, this hike is for you! It combines all of those attractions into one. My fiancé and I did the Rim Trail up which was very steep and we looped around to the Gorge Trail to get back. Trails were very very steep but well marked. The Gorge trail allows you to get right up close to the Lucifer waterfall....the highest waterfall in the park. The Rim Trail features many overlooks. Absolutely breathtaking waterfalls I’ve seen. It’s above 2 miles from the lower entrance or if you just want to see the bigger and tallest falls you can go to upper entrance which is much shorter walk. This park is less crowded than the other parks in Finger Lakes. We had a wonderful time. It’s a must see park if you are in Finger Lakes area.
I only give three stars because of the bathrooms in the camping area, otherwise the hiking is fantastic and beautiful views.
It's my favorite Park in NYS. I've camped there with my kids and we hiked the trails. Loved it.
