Donna is amazing with any child, but she especially blew me away with all of the success she had teaching my 4 year old daughter with special needs how to swim. My daughter did not talk very much and we also wondered what verbal commands she understood. After one season with Donna, she was becoming more familiar with the water and after two seasons, she went from just blowing bubbles to swimming several feet under water. Last summer when my daughter started with Donna for private lessons, she had just turned 4. She loved playing in the water but was uncomfortable putting her face in the water. Within minutes, Donna had her underwater blowing bubbles. By the end of the first class, my daugther had her arms extended out in front of her (face down in the water) and could be pushed 5 feet to grab the pole.
