Delightful! Fantastic atmosphere, kind staff, great food. Likely the best restaurant in Pullman, surly it's my favorite. Sitting at a table that over looks the brook is just frosting on the cake.
Pricey food For being in a small town, Swilly's prices are quite high for what you get. A sandwich and soda cost over $15. Not the best choice for a quick bite or cheap meal. The staff was friendly and courteous when we visited.
An Amazing Find! You can't find a better restaurant in any small town in America. Swilly's has a very creative menu, amazing bisque, great wine menu and an incredibly friendly and talented staff. Their lunch time menu is a great find and I highly recommend the wasabe salmon special. The bread and dip to start is also fantastic. I would definitely recommend Swilly's for a nice date meal, meal with parents or just a nice night out with friends.
Nice atmosphere, good food The atmosphere here was relaxing. They have an a la carte style menu with some diverse choices from pasta to steak to soups and salads. It is more expensive than other places in Pullman, but that's because everything else in Pullman is more like fast food. If you are looking for a nice, sit down restaurant, this is probably the best and only choice in Pullman. The wait was normal for a restaurant of this quality. The service was also good.
I worked at, and was the kitchen manager at Swilly's from 1987 to 1992. The menu rocked! Camille Wadleigh and I were responsible for the first three annual Northwest Best Places stickers, festooning their beautiful front doors! Those hard earned stickers were scraped off by the Porch Light Pizza folks. When they earn their first NW Best Places sticker, they'll understand how hard they are to acquire.. Long live Swilly's!
