I am genuinely disappointed about my overall experience. I got large braids done and I had them taken down here as well. They were 2 separate appointments. The stylist who did my braids only performed 1 check and so the braids ended up being longer than I wanted. The takedown was really difficult for me and makes me not want to go back. The stylist who did my takedown knew I had a sensitive scalp, but it was clear time was more important. My scalp was sore for a week after from the takedown. My first experience at Swella felt luxurious and the stylists are perfectionist professionals. I got so many compliments on my large braids, and most of all, I love them! Kayla was my stylist, and she is the sweetest and made sure she got everything right by confirming, suggesting, and asking questions along the way. I appreciated the attention to detail. Fanta at Swella Hair Care is AMAZING! This was my first luxury braiding experience and I can honestly say I can’t ever go back. She was extremely kind, accommodating, and so thoughtful — making sure I was comfortable the entire time. Fanta was gentle and tender with my head, but also quick and precise.
