The location was fabulous for a Waikiki stay. The parking garage was included in our stay which was the main reason we stayed here. The room was spacious and the kitchen components were great. However, the property seems a little run down and the housekeeping was not up to my expectations. Perfectly good option if you’re only looking for a place to sleep and stay and not actually spend time in the hotel. The rooms are spacious enough and comfortable with good service from front desk. We stayed through Christmas week and we always saw someone in reception. There is a small market with everything you might need in the building. The pool and amenities area is a little scarce and could use improvements but the location compensates. Sweetwater Waikiki is a good choice for travelers seeking affordability and convenience without sacrificing cleanliness and essential amenities. It's less than a 5 minute walk to Kuhio Beach, it's a budget-friendly gem in an otherwise very pricey neighborhood. Don't listen to the bad reviews - this place was perfectly fine. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, pool was nice. They are understaffed so pre-vacation communication was limited (and a bit stressful), but once we got there, no issues. Good location and free parking was huge! One of the cheapest places we could find in Waikiki and I have no regrets. I'd stay there again.

Good if you're on a budget. However, every day we saw 3 new flies despite killing the ones from the previous day, which made us think there was a fly nest in the room or in the vents somewhere. The bathroom door was broken so we couldn't close it fully. Also, the rooms are not soundproof but luckily our neighbors were very quiet. Workers at the front counter were nice and accommodating. I wouldn't come back unless I had to.
