Wow, what a magical place. Rommie has the knowledge, wisdom, and verve to make your hairstyling experience simultaneously grounded and enlightened. I hadn't gotten my hair done professionally in 21 years, and I was extremely skeptical, going in (long story, not worth it). But I was immediately won over, when I stepped inside the salon. Rommie is a brilliant gem, and Sweetgrass leads with an inviting, calming ambience.

Rommie has been cutting my hair since the late Seventies. She has a genius for hair and is about to have a show of her recent paintings too. She also sells ecologically correct hair care products.

I have followed Rommie as she has moved to this new location. I love her haircuts. She takes enough time to make each one really work at a high level. The Sweetgrass Salon is really homey and it feels like a real treat to be in there. My kids also love getting haircuts with her. She takes great care and gives them enough time to get comfortable and see they see it as a reward. They also get tons of positive comments. I actually first found Rommie because I saw a kid pixie cut that she did and was referred to her.
