very pleasant surprise – 2 friends and i went there on a monday night. we arrived around 7 for dinner and we were planning to go elsewhere afterwards for drinks. we had the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer and it was probably the best spinach dip i have ever had (i am kind of a spinach and artichoke snob):-) i had the mac and cheese for dinner which was fabulous and my friends had the fried chicken salad and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. we loved our dinner and were surprised it was not very expensive. we had ... read more

Always a good time!! – This place is always a good time. The best spot in the neighborhood for good bar food. The kitchen stays open late most nights. The drinks are mostly well priced. Beers are cheap and they usually have a DJ or band playing. Nice place to grab some beers, chill out and watch a game. Not pretentious like the only Alley bars. just a comfortable, friendly vibe.

Best Food & Drinks in the area!!! – Sweetwater's new menu is outstanding. Nothing too fancy. Just about 10 great sandwiches and excellent burgers. It's by far the best option in the area for a quick lunch. Not to mention they have an outdoor patio and a great beer selection. The cute waitresses don't hurt either!!!

Disgusting Service - Did not even enter the bar. – I was with a party of 18, we had arrived via a party bus at about midnight. There was a short line. 16 of my friends entered the bar. Myself and a female friend were outside the bar. Upon approaching the doorman, another of our female friends came out to ask if we could be let in. The doorman immediately responded by telling both of the women to show their 't**s' when they said no, he said there was no way we were getting in. This is no way to treat customers or women. This ... read more

Sweetwater Rules!!! – My friends and I go to Sweetwater all the time. I used to think the Alley was just a place for college kids to get wasted but I was wrong. Sweetwater is the most down to earth neighborhood bar in town. They have a great menu for lunch and dinner. Their kitchen is open to 1am everynight. The outside patio is some of the best people watching in town. They also host a trivia night on Tuesdays and have live music Weds-Sat. Sweetwater is great. Love the Staff!

Who knew the Alley boasted an unpretentious neighborhood pub? This hidden gem challenges preconceptions with laid-back, homey cheer. – The Scene A well-kept secret for local professionals, Sweetwater Cafe draws a hearty after-work crowd. The open floor plan, sizable bar, plethora of seating and casual attitude make for an unstuffy place to unwind with a pint and a group of friends. Wrought-iron lanterns hanging over the bar and mismatched knickknacks provide an eclectic touch. Service is accommodating and attentive. The Draw... read more

Great for summer drinks – Sweetwater is really great whether it be after work or on the weekend! The food is great and the service fast! Definitly try the Sweetwater tenders and sangrita margarita! Also a make sure you get there early on weekends the patio is great but gets crowded fast!!!! The auccostic music is also a plus!!!!

Bargirl – Great to chill afterwork & escape some of the pretentious bars...met three friends sat on the patio in the sun & shared PBR pitchers. Everything is sooooooooo cheap and the food was exactly what we were looking for: the best HOT calamari, fab. spinach & artichoke dip and I had a bite of the "blue burger", which was amazing. I also tried a seabreeze margarita v. refreshing...next time will try one of the other six margs. on the menu:) Highly recommended
